Spring

Spring ... not only a busy time of preparation in the garden but also a busy time of year in the building industry. It would seem the run up to the end of the year is already in full swing at the moment with new scheme designs,  building consent applications and site meetings.  

Somewhat relieved that the garden is at an age now where it is happily doing its own thing without too much cosseting. Fruit trees emerging in blossom, irises beginning to show their new shoots, and the freesias are blooming.... strangely I don't remember planting that colour bulb though! The garden preparations for the summer vege patch are way behind with the seedlings only just beginning to poke their heads above the ground. But it's lovely to wander through the garden and breathe in the scented air... between deadlines that is....!
